Amaryllis is ideal for all who love nature, peace & quiet. We have a total of five rooms and two luxury Tree Villas. The garden is home to a large variety of plants that we have collected for many years. In fact each room gets its name from an exotic flower from the garden.
All your meals will be with the family – we do not offer any room service. Adults and families with young adults above 12 will find the place and its facilities most suitable. Sorry, we are unable to accommodate pets.
All rooms are connected to a Back-up Generator for uninterrupted power supply, and are fitted with a TV, satellite receiver, tea/coffee maker with a selection of teas and coffee, electronic safe, and are insect-proofed. The Terrace Suite, Annexe and Tree Villas also have a fridge, and both Tree Villas have mosquito nets above the bed.
Let’s start at the top!
Located on the upper floor of our home, the Terrace Suite is our super luxurious and elegant “room with a view.”
This exceptionally generous room – around 700 sq ft with wooden floors that match the white cedar furniture – opens onto a large verandah with an L shaped private terrace. Unwind on the chaise lounge and enjoy the breathtaking view of the Karapuzha Reservoir meandering through the countryside, with the Velaranmalai Hills beyond. The spectacular sunsets from this vantage point are not to be missed.
The en suite bathroom with its luxurious shower cubicle and spacious Jacuzzi, is separated from the magnificent view by a ‘wall of glass’. You can enjoy nature as you relax in your private Jacuzzi!
Adjacent to the main house is the Annexe, Strelitzia – named after the flower (Bird of Paradise) that is planted in the centre of the large lawn facing the room. From the bedroom & sit-out you can see a Strelitzia bush (Bird of Paradise)in front & the view beyond. The theme is wood i.e. panelling, floor, dressing table etc. It comes with a private sit-out looking onto a tropical garden with views of the backwaters beyond.
Access is via a pathway that goes past the Lounge & Swimming pool.
Calliandra is at the entrance to the main house, looking onto the garden on one side, and on the other, an internal courtyard, with the relaxing sounds of water from a waterfall made from rocks collected from the property. The furniture in this room, and the dressing room, is entirely old world rosewood which blends with the wooden parquet floor. The Northern verandah adjoining the room is an ideal place for your morning tea. You can also unwind outside under a garden umbrella on the front lawn, or enjoy the view from the main verandah, accessible via the dining area that overlooks the swimming pool.
Begonia is located within the main house, but with independent access through the South garden near the Annexe. The room opens out into a large private sit-out filled with variety of tropical flowers and Begonias. You can relax on the two garden swings and gaze at the view of the hills and the reservoir.
This cozy room is on the ground floor, next to the lounge and near the swimming pool. It may be smaller in size compared to others, but it offers the same panoramic view through the bay windows. You can enjoy the outdoors sitting under the garden umbrella in the lovely lawn just outside your door.
